On May 29, 2005, the First Annual Central
District CBA Spoker Run was held in central North Carolina. CBA
members from seven different CBA
chapters held individual poker runs from their home counties to
Rider's In
The Country (RITC) in Randleman, NC. Winners of the seven individual
poker runs won plaques and cash. Everyone who bought a hand received
a raffle ticket. A $500 grand prize was drawn at Rider's
In The County.
Over 160 riders attended and over $1,100 was raised by the Central
District during the event. 50% of that will go into the Central
District's treasury to fund lobbying efforts for fair biker laws.
25% will be donated to NC
BikePAC, and 25% will be donated to the CBA's Motorcycle
Safety and Awareness Program (MSAP) to help save the lives of
North Carolina's motorcyclists.
The party at RITC
was incredible. George Rider and his staff really made us feel at
home. The bands were excellent and the free food was a welcome perk
for all the hungry bikers who attended. A special thanks goes out
to George and his staff. George always makes us feel at home. Don't
forget that George has Biker Thursday's every Thursday night.
Please join the CBA to support
their programs. The CBA fights
for the rights and safety of all of North Carolina's bikers. http://www.cba-abatenc.org
