The fifth annual Triangle Ride
for Kids was an excellent event as usual. The weather was perfect
for the ride starting at Jordan
Lake's White Oak Recreation Area.
Once again, we blew out our financial goal. Last year we raised $101,000.
The goal was $110,000 for this year and we hit $138,500.
The top fundraisers were Tommy
Lee and Melissa Edwards from Chatham
CBA.
Over 575 riders riding on 408 bikes rode the 52 mile ride through the
most beautiful areas of Chatham County. There were actually 675 participants
at this event. Approximately 100 people just showed up to donate money
and support the kids.
Special thanks goes out to the 140 volunteers who organized the Ride
for Kids.
See you all next year on the first Sunday in May for Ride For Kids 2009.
